Agree on the numbers. Act with context.

Build a shared view of performance before adding more dashboards. Agree on what a metric means, where its data comes from and which decision it supports.

01

For operational decisions

For teams connecting game, wallet, acquisition and customer-service data. Start with the decisions your team needs to make, then map each one to a report and a responsible owner.

02

Define the reporting contract

  • Metrics — formula, exclusions, time zone and settlement status.
  • Currencies — keep native totals distinct from converted values.
  • Dimensions — site, content provider, channel and player cohort.
  • Access — who can view, export and validate each report.
03

From source to decision

  • 01 · Map sources — document ownership, refresh timing and identifiers.
  • 02 · Reconcile — compare source totals and investigate differences.
  • 03 · Explain — label filters, currency, time range and data freshness.
  • 04 · Review — assess whether the report answers the original question.
04

A useful GGR starting point

For a defined set of settled bets, a common starting definition is stakes minus player winnings. Confirm treatment of voids, bonuses, jackpots, fees and currency conversion before comparing reports. GGR is not net profit; label your agreed business definition.

Common questions

Why can two reports show different totals?

Time zones, settlement timing, filters, currency treatment and metric definitions can differ. Compare the same population and period before treating the difference as a data error.

Can reporting combine currencies?

Only with an agreed conversion source and timing rule. Preserve the original currency values so totals remain explainable.

What should we prepare first?

Bring the business questions, metric definitions, available sources, sample report layouts and access requirements. Use anonymized records where possible.
